Fundraisers

The troop typically has 2 fundraisers. A Fall fundraiser and a Spring fundraiser.

BBQ – (Spring)

No better fundraiser has served the troop as ourĀ annual BBQ fundraiser. There is a huge amount of prep and work time but the return and fun features far outweigh the work.

Autobell Gift Cards – (Fall)

A troop-wide favorite. The troop has been using this for years. As of 2017 Autobell changed from a carwash ticket to anĀ Autobell gift card. These cards are easy to sell and have a great profit margin for the boys. $20 gift cards have a $10 return (50%).

Paracord Bracelets – (Fall)

First started in 2017. The Paracord Bracelet fundraiser was imagined to be a good overall fundraiser for the Woodland Patrols. It combined elements such as crafting, selling, and teamwork in which to raise money for their Trailmen accounts. The timeline could be controlled by a more streamlined process. Profits are very good and the ability to sell the product at fundraiser price points was better than expected.

Chocolate and Coffee – (Fall)

This used to be offered through a partnership with Heart & Soul Candies but now is not available since the company went out of business. This fundraiser used to be troop-wide but the Adventurers/Navigators found it to not have as much profitability as the BBQ so they stopped participating in 2015. The Woodlands continued to 2016 and then the Heart & Soul company went out of business in 2017.
